Crazy right? But there is a country where actually you get fired if you
purchase an iPhone. Well, it is none other than China.
In China, many firms have barred their employees from
purchasing an iPhone. One such firm is the Nanyang Yongkang Medicine Company.
Here’s the notice issued by the aforementioned company to
its employees.
English translation of the above letter: “If you buy
an iPhone, then just come straight away to the office to hand in your
resignation”.
The letter was sent to the employees to mark the 85th
anniversary of Japan’s invasion of China. The main motive behind the move was
to discourage purchasing of foreign goods.
